Arriving by Train
Rothbury is 17 miles from each of Morpeth and Alnmouth stations (East Coast Mainline). There are 4 direct trains to Morpeth from London Kings Cross daily taking 3.5 hours and trains at least hourly as far as Newcastle from where you can take a local train to Morpeth or a bus direct to Rothbury. Alnmouth has 7 direct trains a day.
Arriving by Plane
Rothbury is 26 miles (40 minutes) from Newcastle international Airport (NCL) from the airport you have a choice of hiring a car and driving or using the local trains and busses.
Arriving by Bus
There is an express bus service from both Morpeth and Newcastle, and local buses into the villages of the Cheviots and the National Park.
